About the author

A Canadian Inuk writer working across memory, survival, and speculative imagination.

Tuutalik Boychuk grew up in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and has lived in Iqaluit, Nunavut and Kingston, Ontario. Her writing draws on Inuit cultural context, northern places, and the intimacy of family stories.

Her name means mermaid in Inuktitut. Through independent publishing, she is building a catalogue that can travel directly to readers while keeping voice, pace, and pronunciation close to the source.
